It’s Spring! Book Tag

Adele Is Reading did this pretty tag and said anyone could participate, so here we go!

How is Spring where you live?

Spring in Florida is kind of a hit or miss thing. Sometimes it’s really hot, other times it’s cool, and other times from that it’s very rainy. It all depends on what Mother Nature plans for us that day. I’d prefer it to be cool for the entirety of the season, but that’s not going to happen.

Most anticipated book release this Spring?

I’m so excited to get my hands on The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater. It’ll be out in just a few short weeks! You can pre-order this gorgeous book signed with a bookplate here.

WWW Wednesday 3/16/16

Here we go with another WWW Wednesday!

What are you currently reading?

You Were Here was graciously provided to me by Netgalley and Better Than Before by Blogging For Books. I’m enjoying them both so far.

What did you recently finish reading?

The Love That Split The World by Emily Henry. You can read my review here. It was SO AMAZING. And it’s been picked up by Lionsgate for a MOVIE! I love this story so much. Major book hangover, guys.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I bought a used copy of Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid at my favorite bookstore in the whole world! So maybe that, or The First Time She Drowned by Kerry Kletter because it just came out and the description looks AMAZING.

Have you guys read any of these? What are you reading? Let me know in the comments!

The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry

Title: The Love That Split the World
Author: Emily Henry
Genre: Young Adult
Rating: ★★★★★

Synopsis: Natalie Cleary must risk her future and leap blindly into a vast unknown for the chance to build a new world with the boy she loves.

Natalie’s last summer in her small Kentucky hometown is off to a magical start… until she starts seeing the “wrong things.” They’re just momentary glimpses at first—her front door is red instead of its usual green, there’s a pre-school where the garden store should be. But then her whole town disappears for hours, fading away into rolling hills and grazing buffalo, and Nat knows something isn’t right.

That’s when she gets a visit from the kind but mysterious apparition she calls “Grandmother,” who tells her: “You have three months to save him.” The next night, under the stadium lights of the high school football field, she meets a beautiful boy named Beau, and it’s as if time just stops and nothing exists. Nothing, except Natalie and Beau.

Emily Henry’s stunning debut novel is Friday Night Lights meets The Time Traveler’s Wife, and perfectly captures those bittersweet months after high school, when we dream not only of the future, but of all the roads and paths we’ve left untaken.

WWW Wednesday, March 9, 2016

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at Should be Reading and revived on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

This is my first ever WWW Wednesday and I’m so excited to make this a weekly date with you all.

Here we go!

What are you currently reading?
The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry. This book is so cute and so different from any other YA I’ve read. The main character is Native American, which in itself is different for me in the best way possible. And there are so many stories within stories. Legends told by a spiritual being named Grandmother that I really think would be a cool visitor. I can’t wait to finish and review it for you guys.

What did you recently finish reading?
I uploaded a review for The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It was a book that I’ve been meaning to read for a long time. And before that I read Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen. Words cannot describe how much I loved it.

What do you think you’ll read next?
Oh gosh. I’m thinking of One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid because it sounds like the genre of the book I’m currently writing AND I keep seeing it on bookstagram. Or something by Junot Diaz. I have This Is How You Lose Her and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.

Any thoughts on these choices? Want to read any of these yourself? Let me know!
